This could be the only evidence of my last ride of 2019 as the weatherprimate says the hammer is coming down tomorrow. I'm sure there'll be shopping trips, etc that will need to be done between the rain drops but....

Anywhooo nothing great going on here except the weather. This is the marina at Nea Makri. Greece may want for many things but marinas ain't one.

Very nice Don.  Our weather here in Chicago is calling for a warmer and dry Christmas week than usual no white Christmas this year.  Mid 40°s.  Monday near 50.  I won’t get to ride though too busy.

Come here for a ride.  It’s a blistering +3 degrees F.  That should test your mettle.  It would give you bragging rights.  Seriously though, it looks like it  was a great day for a ride.

Thanks for the invite but I don't need any mettle testing! I know EXACTLY where their freezing point is.

After a day and a half of rain, the northern Georgia sky cleared and the temperature climbed into the high 60s F on Christmas Eve.

The ATV and dirt bike returned to the trails today and, with similar weather forecast for Christmas Day, the street rides will have their turn.

I wish Pete felt better.  We’d for sure ride out to my sister’s house today for Christmas supper.  Might break a record today, going over 71 is needed.  We will be close.

So Christmas supper in shorts :-)

Well I rode for about an hour, 67F. Saw lots of other two wheelers enjoying the weather.

Probably did my last two rides of the year yesterday and today.  Robin and I met for lunch yesterday then rode for over 3 hours.  Put 146 mile on the 650.  I took the 400 out today and put about 43 miles on it.  Both days had temps right at 70 and bright sunshine with light winds.  So perfect riding weather.

Rain moving in for the weekend and colder temps first part of next week so likely won't get out again.  That I have been nursing a bad back for the last month won't increase the chances any.

That I have been nursing a bad back for the last month

I know what you're talking about there!! Been putting up with the back for the last few decades. About a year ago my doc gave me "Xefo Rapid" and the stuff worked like nothing else. I know every "body" reacts differently to each drug but if you've not tried this one, give it a shot. Works for me.

I'm hoping mine is only temporary.  Haven't had problems before.  Getting my Mom's house cleaned out so we could sell it and close the estate did me in.  Lots of heavy lifting and hauling that I'm getting to old to be doing.

Well Bob and I were going to see the Star Wars movie this afternoon for my Birthday.  We chucked that idea and went for a 50 mile ride.  We were out about 3 hours.  It is Chicago.  Got up to mid to upper 60s.  Felt great.  Going to dinner at Texas De Braziil.

Don, Happy Birthday to you.  I really enjoyed mine today.

Thanks y'all for the Bday wishes & right back at'cha Cathy.
I've been told that old age was a figment of the mind.

Cathy, I almost slept through mine! The hibernation gene kicked in and that was about all she wrote.

It's a whopping 6°C (43°F) out there this AM and I'm headed over to our weekly Wednesday Old Farts Meeting. The heated grips on the AK work GREAT!

Happy Birthday greetings to Cathy and Don.  The best way to celebrate a birthday is in doing something you enjoy.  Glad you got out for a ride Cathy .... that is one fine looking machine you have there.   It is just after 6am with really clear skies and -9°C here; and the ISS just passed over for another fine sighting. Judy and I waved but not sure if they saw us.    Next Wednesday is my birthday and we hope to hit the ski hill for the first day of our season.  Another weather dependent venture, just like a bike ride.

Happy New Year to all!

Happy Born On Day, Cathy & Don!

Mike, our ISS sightings are to low on the horizon for the time being.  Funny, I saw the projection going right over your house this morning :-) Seeing lots of nice sunrises/sunsets this week though.

Thanks all for the birthday greetings.

Mike, Happy Birthday and Happy New Year as well. Hope you get to go skiing.  I use to do that until my knees went bad.

Bob and I had a delicious dinner at Texas de Brazil.

Happy birthday to all of you who just marked another one!  PeggySuz’s is tomorrow.
Glad you got out for a nice ride, Cathy.  I like that new Wing, too.  I see a nice, thin, blue pinstripe on the sides in the future.
No riding here today.  It’s -9˚F here today, with snow covered streets and roads.  Brrrrr!

Do you really think a blue stripe will make it go faster?

Christmas Day ride on the FZ-09 includes a stop at Lake Blue Ridge dam.

The string of warm days are great while they're here.
As the week of New Year's Day approaches, the temperatures
are cooling, returning closer to normal but still fairly nice.

Sending early Happy New Year wishes to all!
