Very interesting new bike if mid-sized retro machines hold any appeal to you.

Powered by an all-new 47 hp, counterbalanced vertical twin with a six-speed transmission.

Very attractively priced at $5799 for the standard Interceptor model.

I understand that it's made in India, as is the H-D Street 750. I do like the mid size retro bikes, especially the late 60s-mid 80s styling. I'll wait to see what you have to say about the newer RE. I know there was a huge issue with the 500s reliability.

When Enfield came back to the market several years ago, we felt it was cool to have a "new" retro style motorcycle again.  Unfortunately the bikes weren't much to talk about.  I have to hand it to Enfield to have stayed in there.  I'll be interested in your experience after your test ride.
