These pixels were chopped out of the whole frame. I took this shot with the Sigma 105. I tried to get a good shot with the 70-300 zoom but not enough light and 1/40 sec just didn't work out. The light show was gone in less than 5 minutes, no time for a tripod.

Ma Nature doin' her thing.

That's a very interesting photo, Don.  You caught the light in a unique way.  Thanks for sharing that one.  I don't like spiders, but their webs can be very interesting.  That Sigma 105 seems to do a good job.  I know some of the Sigma lenses don't get very good reviews, but that 105 looks to be a good one.

By the way, have you given anymore consideration to going from a full frame camera to something smaller and lighter?

I went back out yesterday AM to see if the web was still there in the hopes of setting up the tripod in the eventing but, it seems, the wind took it down.

I'm still "thinking". Haven't made up my mind one way or the other. Card carrying practicing procrastinator.
