Southeast Michigan. (north of Detroit) I went to Amerivespa in 2012
which was also held in Lake Geneva WI. that year. I didn't make it to
the Amerivespa rally the time it was held in NOLA. (New Oleans, LA)
I would have liked to be there at that one since I've never been down
to Louisiana before.

Well, my avatar pic with the Bad Axe sign was from a day trip exploring
the "thumb" area here in Michigan with a friend ... I actually live further
south from there ENE of Pontiac/north of Detroit.

I live in North West FL or (Lower Alabama)  LOL.  I plan on attending our fall rally, hopefully more people ride vs taking vehicle tours.

Hey Murf, fuck off.  I will ride what I want to ride given mine and my husband's health issues.  Seriously, you are a jack ass!  When you have stage 4 cancer and live with it daily come back and talk to me.

Well said Maggie, I would have ridden more if the belt on my rear tire hadn't broke and if the Suzuski dealer had found the trouble the first time. Not installing a new front tire and front wheel bearings.

We were happy to have you come along that day versus sitting in the hotel.    Joan needed a day off with her back, ScooterBob needed a days rest, the man is in his 80's and rode down from Iowa.  We had an awesome day at Rock City,  no matter how we got there.

Murf, do you ever think before you speak or in this case type a response?  We all make our own decisions of what we want to do each day.  Do our own ride, join in the group ride or not ride at all that day.  Weather, health issues, mechanical, whatever the reason no one should be looked down upon for their choice.  We enjoy getting together riding, hanging out at dinner etc.  Maybe this isn’t the group for you.

For the record Iím not usually this abrasive.  Well ok, I am.  :-)

But Murf at the Mexican Restaurant in Scottsboro I let your comment slide.   I even deleted a comment you made here on our Rock City thread last year.

I just couldnít this time.

I will do whatís right by Pete always.  In this case it was my knee that put me off the bike.

Pete is at a point where we canít do the long days like we use too.

Thatís why I always encourage everyone on our get togethers  to have alternate ideas or even rides.

Our rally is about so much more than riding.

I love nothing more than getting on a bike and riding for 12 hours a day but itís not feasible anymore for us.  While Iím healed I have a person I love more than anything I take into account.

Group, I am about the kindest person you will meet.  If my comments are taken out of context or seem insensitive that is not my intention.  Please accept my apologizes if people have personally internalized my comments.  I understand with our advancing ages health becomes a factor.

I was not being insensitive, just don't know anyone's personal or health situation. For my first scooter rally (did not know why so many people toured by car) So step back from personnel feelings and evaluate the comment only.

My comment "hopefully more people ride vs taking vehicle tours" really? This innocent comment rates this type of hate speech??????

I enjoyed meeting all of you at the rally. The rides were great.  The comment I made to my wife was this was the best group of people I have ever road with.  I thought this was a scooter forum and wanted to be a part of improving the events and helping.  (Did I personally attach or demean anyone?)  Forums should not personally attack anyone.  Now I'm very confused and saddened by your comments.

Sometimes “intent” doesn’t come across as intended. (Ask me how I know). Hopefully this is smoothed over, put in the past, and everyone moves on. There will be quite a few missing this year, but hopefully there’ll be some new people joining us.  I’m looking forward to some good rides, good scenery, and good people!
