Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

« on: March 14, 2019, 09:57:43 PM »

I just got a Packtalk Slim and some upgraded speakers (U-Clear Digital, Pulse Speakers).  I didn't pick any of this stuff out it was gifted to me so no complaints however would like to know if anyone else has tried a Packtalk Slim set?  I just made a phone call using voice commands, which was really cool and the clarity of the call was excellent but... I'm sitting at my desk.  While the volume was fine for home I thought it may not be so good on the bike at highway speeds.  Any thoughts?

My Sena 10R volume is fine at speed in one helmet but low in the other. The only difference is the position of the speakers. The pre-molded space for the speakers in the Bell are lower and towards the rear of the helmet. The only way to know is hit the road and have someone call you. I really like that my gps directs me with the Bluetooth in the helmet. Enjoy.

Thanks, jdbrot.  I will be giving it a real test in a few weeks.  I've been told that the Packtalk adjusts it's volume based on ambient sound/noise.  So the volume will rise if there is a lot of road noise.  Will find out soon.

Our Scalas do that, it does help a lot.  Good luck with your new system, Dan!
