Let's Ride!!!!!!

« on: May 20, 2018, 05:12:36 PM »

Tonight when I have some time Iím going to start a new forum thread named must do roads.

Eric inspired this based on his roads he did in his area and experiences.

I have lots to share in MO and surrounding states as well as our travels.

I will update this thread once I get the forum board/thread set.

In the meantime watch this video of one of my favorite roads in Arkansas.

This is a lady on a new 18 F3 Spyder.  The F3 will be my next bike without a doubt.

I think that's a great idea! Wow, the Spyder just scoots right along effortlessly.

Let me start with what is a 5 star ride here in Western North Carolina. Sorry but I've not posted any photos since PhotoBucket flop. With a bit of luck maybe we can get Virginian to plot this and post the map.
I'll start this ride at US 64 and NC 281, near lake Towaway. Take 281, also called Canada Rd., north from US64 for about 16.5 miles to NC 1756, Charley's Creek Rd. Go right on Charley's Creek to NC 215, about 11 miles. Go right, south on 215 all the way to US 64. To make this a loop, going right on US 64 will take you back to the start point at Lake Toxaway. One can start this loop at any point that works for you. By doing this ride, I guarantee you will ride more curves than some people do in a year.
One of the great things about this ride is the near absence of other vehicles.

Yellow Jacket's NC Loop 48 miles of heaven! The only thing that could make it better is some North Carolina BBQ!

Rode Route 215 from Route 64 to the Balsam Grove Post Office and back a month or so ago. Just a slice of Yellow Jacket's ride, but I'm looking forward to the entire ride very soon! The NC BBQ sounds great as well.

Don't know if anyone wants or cares to do this, BUT if you plot these and save them on your Google drive, they can be shared.
For those with (and willing to share) Google shared directories, it would be good to have a collection of the rides already mapped.
No, I can't because I already have a lot of maps I'm doing this for on the other board.

Honestly Larry, I might give it a go but I have idea how to implement it on google drive? I do all of my charting Tyre, the software that Tomtom uses which is Google maps based.

Thanks Virginian for stepping up here. I'm a bit handy capped When it comes to all things technical. No clue what a Google drive or Tyre is.
