I call this route riding to be riding
Just under 300 miles. There’s lots of fun roads.
Hwy 8 is fun but then about 10 miles outside of Potosi in flattens out. No worries because when you leave Potosi you will ride PP and D. (really almost one road) These two roads are fantastic. If you put a gun to my head and said you can only ride one road in Missouri, this would be it. Just do not override it. Sadly lots of riders have been killed on this road and many injured. Great advertising, eh?
Lunch on this route is a tough call. If you guys get up and moving early, Steelville might be too early for lunch at Missouri Hicks. There’s plenty of fast food in Potosi. Of course there always Bixby, you just have to detour off the route by about 12 miles of outstanding roads. Also an alternative way is to head east on 32 to 21 to Ironton. A BBQ place is very very good. Baylee Jo’s.
