No riding since the first week of November for me. Can’t wait for spring here in ne Ohio so I can stop being so jealous of those of you who can ride year-around.

Back to back 60 degrees days in February. Wow. Back to back riding days were a MUST. 110 miles today. Warmer but less sunshine. And I dressed for the temp when heading out … a bit chilly coming back in near sunset. BUT feeling fortunate to be riding this time of year. Had a couple of pics .... image post not working at present.

I just made it to the post office and back. Does that count? Heading to the pharmacy next & later the big ride all the way to the electronics store! I had more time to goof off BEFORE retirement!

You guys are so lucky to be able to ride this time of year. Temps in my parts of the True North have been in the negative single digits *F with on and off snow flurries. When it's not snowing or as cold (like today ... its shot up to around 51*F ... a historical record for this day and certainly an anomaly from our normal 30*F average for this date), the roads are either slippery or full of nasty salt, sand or beet brine residue ... not something riders want messing up their bikes or endangering their safety.
So for now ... our rides sleep, stripped of batteries and a belly full of fuel stabilizer until they are awoken from their winter slumber ... likely in mid-April. Then our 6 month (or so) riding season will be upon us once again.

I also went on my longest ride of the year on Saturday but it was only 217 miles. Much of it was in Tennessee including the lunch stop.

This is great to see folks out riding this time of year. I must say it is inspirational after the spell of cabin fever I'v been experiencing with the polar chills that have been covering some much of our area. Thanks for posting!

Well this feels like cheating. I rode 4 days in a row in February… so far. Been extremely and unusually warm … BUT the rain is now here in buckets. And normal cold returns on Friday. Oh well. It was fun while lasted.

I'm thinking of adding pontoons and an outrigger to my scoot! Blue skies & puffy little clouds yesterday AM up until 11 when all hell broke loose, again some more. This has got to be one of the wettest winters on record over here!

I didn't ride New Year's Day because I was out of town. Since then I have ridden every day except one. It's been wet here but warm enough to ride. This looks like the best start of the riding year ever for me except maybe way back when I lived in Florida or California. We do have a cold front coming through tonight but it shouldn't get cold enough to keep me from riding.

Had a couple of hours to ride late this afternoon, and was uh, well 70 something! Feb. 7th and I'm riding in my mesh jacket and summer gloves:-) Man oh man I love it. It was very windy so I hit the hills and hollers where the wind was blocked out. But all good things must come to an end. Tomorrow's high? In the 40's. Sirkitrider
