I sold my BMW C650 GT and I have started my search for a new scooter. I'm looking for a 300cc and based on what is available in my area and keeping the price below $6K so far I have selected 4. 1st is the Yamaha XMAX 300 (probably the one I will buy since it is available on the showroom floor, a 2018 no discount. 2nd is the SYM Citycom S 300i, the dealer will order one only if I give him a large deposit which I don't want to do until I can at least sit on one. 3rd is the Piaggio Beverly 350, how is the dependability? 4th is the Honda Forza, ???.

A satisfied Honda/Yamaha owner over the years with long-term reliability always as a major objective, the XMAX and Forza go to the top of my ranking of these models.

I tried the Xmax on for size and it seemed to fit me well. Everyone that has one, seems to really like them, a lot,  but I wouldn't purchase anything without driving.

They don't stock scooters, there are several shops that share inventory. One of the shops sells Kymco so they could get one for me. Early this year they got in an Xciting 400i that I was very interested in after reading all the good reviews on it but I passed on it and kept my BMW mostly for the leg room. I'm not commuting any more (retired) and I don't plan on doing any long distance riding so the leg room is not much of an issue, something I could live with.

I've had the Forza, the XC 400i, and checked out the Xmax.
As stated above, the Xmax has a great and happy following.
I chose the 400i over the Xmax. Nothing major, just a few minor things I preferred.
It was cheaper, and still bullet proof.
I loved my Forza and would take 400 mile round trips monthly with it.
The Forza didn't have the gitup and go like the Xmax & XC models, but
it just felt good and looked good to me. The only reason I sold it was because the local dealer
shop manager said labor was $1,000/hr for it. I didn't want to change my own tires and the next dealer was too far.
I miss my Forza.
I had a local dealer that required the purchase before ordering of my XC 400i also with a $600 discount.
I paid full price for a dealer(100 miles away) that ordered and prepped it for me to try out before committing.

Long winded way of saying you'll love the Xmax or Forza if you purchase one, but I'd still recommend the XC 400i same as Skutorr

The Beverly 350 has the same power plant as my X10. There was a small parts problem back in 2012 when the motor was introduced but once that wire was replaced it has been reliable ever since. I weigh in over 220 and the X10 is heavier than the B350 but we can still maintain 75 to 80MpH all day.

I've maintained gas/mileage logs since day one. 99% of my riding is short hops to do the shopping, etc. and these are the numbers: 350g over 16500 miles of city and 57MpG

From all the reviews I've read they all seem to be goods bikes for what I want. However I don't know if Honda is going to sell the new 2019 Forza in the USA. I've owned Honda, Suzuki, BMW, and Kymco. The only one that gave me any problems was my last BMW and I don't like the way the dealer treated me. I've never owned a Yamaha but I would like to and I've never owned a Piaggio and I'm not so sure I want to. I've never heard the words Piaggio and Bullet Proof in the same sentence however I've been reading good reviews on the BV350 and the GTS 300.

I suppose they have to be, I read that NY City police use them? I don't know for sure.

I'm thinking of selling my low mileage Xmax 300 if you have any interest I'll shoot you the particulars on it.

If the Forza interests you, you might want to get ahold of Kelly, AKforza.  He has one he keeps in Hawaii.  He tells me he loves that scoot and rides the heck out of it on the Big Island.  He should be able to tell you all about it.

Virginians XMax 300 has had some nice upgrades done to it and would be a good deal for anyone in the market for a great scooter. ATTN: Joan...
