Being an old American, I've never grasped the whole metric thing. I'm trying to source parts but need to know some basic stuff. My Majesty has a bore and stroke of 83mm and 73mm, which somehow is supposed to translate to about 400cc+/-. If I increase the bore to 84mm, what do I end up with? What about 83.5mm? This part one of a two part problem. more to follow.....

Using standard volume area for a cylinder:
83X73 would be 395cc
84X73 would be 400cc
Rounding of course.

B = Bore (Diameter)
S = Stroke
π = 3.142

H = (B * 0.5)
(H * H) * π * S

Thank you!  That  simple formula is what I forgot. I guess I had another "senior moment". The reason I needed to know is I'm hoping to sleeve a Majesty engine bore to come up with a displacement of around 275cc+/- for a project I'm considering. The second question was solved, now that you helped clear out the cobwebs.

Give a man an answer and he goes away happy.
Teach a man to cyper and he can make his own mistakes.

Thought I saw a recipe for pie in this post, but that would be irrational.
