Don't sweat the small stuff...it's all small stuff

Fall colors lasted a long time up here this year.  I went for a drive up the Glenn Hwy and stopped in at a lake named, of all things, Wiener Lake.  The light was nice and the sun lighted up the hillside nicely.  Thought I'd share this one.  It's at mile 89 of the Glenn Hwy, just east of Long Lake by about a mile.  Unfortunately a wind a couple days before blew most of the leaves off the trees!

Great shot, Greg.

Thanks.  That was just before my camera malfunctioned.  I initially panicked, but later discovered I'd hit a button that changed the image review display.  When I got home I fixed it and now all is well.

I like this Sony A6200, as it's a nice, light, fully capable camera, but I find myself thinking about going back to a DSLR again.  Probably pie in the sky.  The Sony does everything another Nikon DSLR would do.

We've been having a record fall this year here.  Here it is, past the middle of October and the daytime temps are still in the low 50's, and even the mountains don't have much snow--just a dusting on the tallest peaks.  Not that we're complaining.  It's just that much less snow that I have to deal with.  And if the thermometer doesn't take a sudden nosedive, and we have a nice day with few clouds, I might have an opportunity to get some good sunset photos.
