Woke up to 42  degrees this morning and it got all the way up to 59 this afternoon  .  We should be in Florida by now but a family emergency has kept us here,  will be heading to Florida about the 15th.

Sorry to hear about your family emergency? Where do you all winter in FL??  Sebring :-)  I can read, sometimes.

We were snowbirds for 7 months last year in central FL.  This year we are uncertain what we are doing yet.

We spend 7 months every year in Sebring (about as central as you can get).  We have a scooter group that rides every Tuesday and Thursday.  We ride to EAT picking restaurants that give us about 100 mile ride.  Usually have about 15 to 20 riders.

That's awesome.  We were in a small town, Lake Panasoffkee.  Between The Villages and Inverness.  We loved it there.  The place we stayed is not available so we are making a trip down *soon* to look to buy our own place.  We will probably end up more in the area east of 75.

I was surprised how many great riding roads were up around Dade City over to the Gulf Coast.

We really enjoy Florida,  Sebring is dead center of the state, 1 1/2 hour ride to gulf coast and 1 1/2 hours to Atlantic coast.  Great back road riding only not much elevation changes or twisties

The gulf was about 40 minutes from Lake Pan, the Atlantic about 90 minutes.

We had some elevation and twisties near Lake Pan but not many :-)  The highest elevation I tracked was a train overpass.  LOL

On the road from the airport during a recent Florida vacation, my Uber driver and I shared a laugh with my comment, "Don't mind me. I'm just looking around for a mountain."
