The Ryker

https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/ryker/recreational.html

An interesting much more affordable entry level Spyder.

I like that the Rally Edition is set up for dirt riding.
I'll bet you can do some killer power slides on that.

The base unit is competitively priced but the accessories seem grossly overpriced (no doubt "upsell" is the plan) ... $80 for a cell phone holder? $350 for three yellow panels (not even all panels)? $90 for a helmet bag, etc.?

CanAm is without a doubt the new hundred dollar Harley.  Has been for years now.  LaMonster already has a Ryker in his garage and is looking to making mods.

I would buy black and make my own vinyl graphics.  Only two panels to color or so it appears.

I watched a first ride this morning.  I would dislike the lack of power steering assistance.  I still like the F3 but would like to try this one out.  I also still like my Burgman :-)

I had expected the Ryker to be an entry-level Spyder, which does not appear to be valid. Instead it appears to be an alternative motorcycle or alternative dirt bike/ATM.

Yup, it different yet similar?   Totally automatic unlike the F3 and RT.

I'm intrigued just gotta get my butt into one and see how it feels.

Interesting motorcycle, but not for me.  Were I to get a Spyder, it would be the RT/S.  My friend in Idaho just got one to replace her aging and ailing Honda GL1500 trike.  She loves the RT/S.

Pete's is an RT-Limited.  Pretty much same as your friends, it's an amazing piece of machinery.  This one intrigues me for a few reasons.  Obviously the price point.  However I'm not sure I could step down from the RT-Limited to no power steering etc.  I'm looking forward to trying it as a future alternative.

Very interesting machine but the deal breaker for me is no seating for passenger  .  My wife rides with me most of the time.

Maggie, I have to correct myself.  Margie's Spyder is the Limited, not the RT/S.  Hers has all the luggage and stuff.  Only thing it lacks is a bunch of chrome.

There's a passenger seat option available.

There seems to be something wrong with that website as it won't allow access to different sections to view.  It won't let me look at the section with seats and accessories.

click on Colors and Accessories, then you have to pick a color, then you can access the seat option.

I finally worked my way through their build process and the $8000.00 machine turned to over $12000.00.  Guess maybe I will have to lower my standards.  LOL

I wonder how much it would be for them to sell the back half of the machine. It looks like they chopped of the back end and just added a wheel.

Point of order as I read their website it's not model of Spyder, it's just a Can-am Ryker, i.e., a model line unto itself.

They should have come up with a better name.
Scorpion, Puma, Combat Wombat, something like that.

But they needed something with a long "I" so they could stick their big "Y" in its place.
