I've owned three triumph's in my life.  Old and new.  Never had to change the oil only add oil regularly.  Must be a British metric thing.

This is my third Triumph. The first was a clapped-out '71 650 Bonneville. It ran, made a LOT of noise, and probably leaked oil, but I don't remember for certain.

The second was a 2002 T100 Bonneville purchased used around 2012 or so with 15,000 miles on it, rode it to 23,000 during the several season's I owned it. It managed to break several spokes in the rear wheel, but that's all that ever went wrong with it, no oil leaks ever.

My current Triumph does not leak oil. It did, but it was easily, and permanently dealt with by the dealership for zero cost to me.
