Nice Klav. We're hitting our peak colors, but it's been raining so much I can't really enjoy them.

We are nowhere near peak but the weather is about perfect.  Got out again today.

.

Not too shabby for a 150cc air cooled scooter that gets flogged pretty hard.

No heat yesterday and most of my ride was in Tennessee but here goes anyway:

.

.

It's nice having a touring bike weighing less than 500 pounds instead of 900 so I can pull off into places like this.

Some of you may recognize this place.

A house with a view.

Without a doubt the most famous road in Tn is the "dragon" which is really US 129 at Deal's Gap. Not nearly as famous is another 129 right here in Tn. This road starts in Lynchburg and heads west.

.

.

.

While not as twisty as the "dragon", it is a pretty nice road with hills, curves and some nice scenery. My pics don't really do it justice. Maybe I can make some money by giving this 129 a cool name and selling some T shirts???  I just have to come up with a name. Since it starts in Lynchburg I'm thinking "tail of Jack" or "tail of the whiskey barrel"

129 runs through Petersburg , Tn.

Beautiful pictures.

129 is a great road.   We’ve ridden it about 10 times.   When I left Alabama on Saturday I rode the Spyder.  I went up to and across 129 then over to the Trace into Nashville. We have a spring trip planned to see Pete’s sister and that will be another chance!

I had heard 129 was a good road but this was my first time riding it.  I only followed it until a bit before I65 where I turned south on John Barnes Rd.  This took me to the booming metropolis of Delina.

I went inside to check out the store. It was more of a restaurant than a store.

When I came out a group of Harley riders pulled up. I talked to them a bit and asked if they had ever eaten here. They said yes and that the food and service were great. I think I'll have to set up a ride sometime and stop here for lunch.

Ride to Wally world earlier this week.

No heat yesterday but a nice beautifully Fall day in Alabama.  Got out with a couple of friends for a ride.

Pretty colors!

Have you ever hiked to the Walls of Jericho?  Off 79 near the Tenn border.  Been a long long time since I was there.  I bet it's an awesome hike this time of year.

Got out again for a few hours yesterday.  Gotta ride the motorcycles once in a while so I took the KLR.

Rode Horse Cove road up Keel mountain.  This is one super steep and twisty road although my pics don't show it.

.

Scenic pond on Keel Mtn.

CR8.

The nice thing about riding alone is that I can stop whenever I want to take a pic.

Didn't stop to take this next one.

I went out again in the evening to catch the sunset but was a little late.

Nice shots...

I had a route for the rally that if going towards Hunstville included Keel Mt until one of my friends said stay off it, it's quite treacherous unless you know the road.

We still have some color left in the trees in late November.

Sometimes I also get to see some color early in the morning.

No long rides for me this weekend but I did ride the Versys over to Decatur and managed to find some nice fall colors.  This first picture was taken in Mooresville.  I thought the yellow bike, yellow house and yellow tree would make a nice pic.

There was a cruise ship docked in Decatur so I managed to work it into a few pictures.

More pictures from today.

It was getting dark as I was heading home so I detoured to spot where I could watch the sunset.

Trying to catch the last of the fall colors.  It was 35 degrees when I left on this ride.

.

I have always loved Black & Red bikes.

.

I expect most of these leaves to fall off in the next few days.

I thought the last couple of days of rain and storms would knock down what was left of the fall colors but, this was today.  72 and sunny :D

The rain ended and the temperatures climbed into the 50s so I went for a couple of rides today.  My morning ride was to Walmart on my Kymco.  I didn't take any pictures of that.  Then I got out on my KLR in the afternoon.

Cold and rain are not normally a combination I like to ride in but yesterday I did it anyway.  It wasn't that cold but started raining as I left to meet a couple of other local riders.

Luckily the rain stopped and we had a fun ride.

It was a bit chilly but beautiful Christmas Eve here in North Alabama. I managed to get out on three different rides. I didn't get any pics of the first two but took around 80 on the third. I decided to see how the Like would do on dirt/gravel roads.

.

.

It rode pretty smooth but I made sure to dodge the potholes.

.

I was afraid that the white color would make it hard to get good pictures of this scooter.

I might have been wrong

Alabama heat??  There wasn't much of that on Christmas morning but at least the ground wasn't covered with white stuff like some places up north.  So I went riding again.  And I took some pictures.  The pictures I took Christmas Eve would be hard to top but I was going to try.

It was interesting watching the lighting change dramatically as the sun was coming up.  I also moved around to different spots trying to get that "perfect" shot.

Anything to get that picture.

Nice pictures - I really like the sky and tree colors you have captured.

Right now in northeast Ohio, all the leaves have fallen and the sky is an ever changing hue of grays. Hoping for an early spring.
