While on vacation I took these. I hope it's okay to post them in your thread?

Not mine.. I just instigated it.

Where'd you find all these weird weeds?

Water in the web make for an interesting picture.  It may not be a flower, but it's in the "weeds."

When I took our organic dust mop & food mooch to the park this AM I saw that one of our three (no, I don't know why we've got to have three) cactuses (cacti?) had but one, lone flower on it. I've NEVER EVER seen just one and never this late in the year!

This is what the back yard cactus looked like this summer and this was just one AM of three. We counted over 150 buds before we just gave up accepted that it was a lot.

For some reason I've never been around blooming cactus when they were blooming.  It was always "just a bit too late.". Rats.  Thanks for sharing those.  Cactus blooms are particularly pretty.  Oh, we had a Christmas cactus, but it never had more than 2 blossoms, so we got rid of it.

Here's another one from our backyard.  My little Canon G16 does a passable job up close.

Here's another one from our backyard.
What?  No Fireweed?  Or is that just a story for the tourists?

Took this 7/30/18 at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
