We have had a very long and snowy winter up here in Montana but it is finally looking like occasional riding weather.  I took advantage of my local dealer's free pick up option today, mainly because you need the hands of a 5 year old to pry the (dead) battery out.  Of course just after they picked it up it started snowing.  Sigh.

Between my bad hip and late August replacement surgery I only put a couple of hundred miles on my new '16 Zuk GSX-S1000.  The nice thing is that throwing my leg over the bike does not require the gymnastics of pre-surgery.  Maybe next week (hope, hope, hope)?

And damn you JBC, we're at about the same latitude and I ain't riding.

A bit windy today but first sign of spring temps today. Got a short ride in after cleaning the garage. Hope for a longer ride tomorrow before the rains come in and more snow on Monday.

I have always loved winter here but really. . .

The snow is now starting to stick to the ground.

I wonder if that's why my cousin from Billings winters in Florida.

I get the April showers thing, but freezing sleet and snow?!! Mother Nature must not have gotten the memo that it's spring.

Bikes have been out in the droves up here this past week.  The weather is warming up and the snow is fast disappearing and the roads are all clear.  Just a lot of sand and gravel on the roads yet.  Lovin' the sunny skies and 50+ degree temps.  Makes me wish I still had a bike.

Not here, We've only had maybe one 50 degree day. Its been 20 degrees below normal here. I probably have 10 miles on the Wing & 40 on the PC. There predicting a very bad weekend here! 8 to 10+ inches of snow & high temps in the low 30's.

Here in eastern middle TN today ... 82 degrees. Woohoo.  Me and my Burgman buddy Charles got in a lunch ride to a BBQ place for a brisket sandwich- yum.  150 or so miles.

Then I rode the John Deere for the 1st time this season. The weather was so great ... AND  I was so thankful it wasnt raining ... I mowed my neighbor's yard too!

Rained like crazy here over the weekend.  Cold with snow flurries this morning.  This cold snap is  known here as Dogwood winter.   Next will be Blackberry winter sometime in late April or early to mid May.  THEN when can start complaining about it being to hot:-)
