Ying is nowhere to be found in the Firestone picture. I'm concerned. Is this a variation on "Where's Waldo'?

(Truth is stranger than my quips)
Well, I might as well tell ya, this is my 2nd Ying. I thought she was tucked in to the rack but I lost her about 2 months ago on I-65 near Fultondale.
So, while riding, I keep her tucked inside the left cubby or inside my jacket now. She is more popular than me, so I gotta protect her!!!!!

Largest cast iron statue in the world......VULCAN
Edit: yeah, Ying was blushing after she saw Vulcan's bare butt cheeks!!!!!

One of the best places to work in the USA is ACIPCO
Guard shack right behind the pipe, so Ying couldn't go climbing on the pipe.

An old landmark in North Birmingham that used to be the middle school. Standing vacant now. Waiting to be demolished or saved by historical groups.

A small church out in the middle of nowhere that time forgot. The place is called Coalburg, Alabama.

Went a scootin' today. Had a tag located in Guntersville, which is the same area as our Sept Maxi-Scoot meet up this year.
Along the way, saw the old Langston post office located about 1000+ feet west of the new building.
Ying was asking if it was a jail....hmmmmmm

Approaching the city of Guntersville and the first view of the water:

An informational pavilion as we approach the park:

Entering the Guntersville state park:

Seems Ying may be reading the forum. She must have seen Terry's post about letting her take some photos.
Lucky for me, she is narcissistic and takes selfies.....didn't even get Star in the photo. Guess I'm safe (for now).

The lodge:

I go in to the local store to get a soda. Came back out and checked my phone.
The girl has taken another selfie:

That's two pics she took. Looks like she is right handed.

Finally got to the spot and got my Alabama Tag photo.

It was a good day. I just gotta watch out or she is gonna take my pic and you guys are gonna see that my avatar is really good lookin' in comparison.

I haven't been there in a very long time but your first view picture is coming down 79 towards the lake.  At the T in the road is where I had my after school high school job in a sporting good store.  On the left was the Lee Jeans plant, I think it is a Frog Togg plant now.   In the way background is about where we lived on the lake.

Been to Langston about a milion times.

Great pictures :-)

Beautiful country out your way!

Thank ya...
Ya know, when scootering, everything looks better.....Did you ever read the posts by Mr. Munch in LA (Lower Alabama)?
when he was posting Vespa pics, he got more compliments and replies. Then he got an ADV bike and spends most of his time trying to get it back up hahahahaha

i.e. Wife told me one of the pics was so beautiful....where is that?....I took her over to the window, pointed, and was promptly punched in the shoulder!!!!!
