I call my scooter Star and the panda we named Ying.....
We went for a short ride today to the nursing home again. It was just a beautiful day outside. Everyone at the home was in a good mood for a change.
Neighbor came to visit and brought some treats. Saying this to explain the mood I was in.
You know when you are in a good mood, you can see things differently than other moods. So everything today just looked special.
My friend/neighbor passed last November and his brother keeps the place looking the same.
Yesterday he mowed, trimmed, and cleaned up the yard. To me, it just looked beautiful:

So then, being in one of those great moods, I start to look at everything differently than abnormal hehehehe
I was thinking about a time 20 or so years ago when someone came to visit me from Idaho.
Driving down this road, they were just starring....I asked what's up....they replied they'd never seen so much green at once before.

Around the next curve, this opens up:

Wow, some turkeys running across the field, so I turned to the left and took this shot:

Yep, missed 'em.
Well, more flowers:

Got back on Star and going about 20mph....There's the turkeys again.
Stopping on the road, I grab my phone. They go into the woods, but one stops and poses.
I snap the photo, then it continues on into the trees:

Took a different route to visit mom today. A couple building I've meant to take photo of and never got around to it.
Doc office...I think they are pediatrics. I love this building (It's the farmer that used to reside in me).

The eye doc used to have a regular office. They purchased some land and built this on top of a hill. It towers above the others as you ride by:

After running my errands and leaving mom, went for some motion lotion...and all of a sudden I see all this color.....it was directly across from the gas station,
So in I go....they weren't operating yet. I got this sudden feeling inside like a kid waiting to get into the fairground....
Just a traveling carnival, but still....
I had to do a panoramic shot to get it all in.
I still had the taste of popcorn from the visit with mom (every Tue and Fri treat). Everything just came together to overwhelm me when I took this.
I can still smell it when I look at the pic.

Hahaha, I had thought about that. If the dog was in proportion, I think I'd have not stopped for the pic. Thinking Marmaduke(size, not friendly) here.

ABSOLUTLY Beautiful pictures,
I've been down I65 a time or two - to Pinson and
even Piedmont. There's not too many places I've
traveled that compares with your photos. Keep up
the good thoughts & effort.

I have been on here for a while under another user name. My computer
crashed and took all the info into eatherland. The site would not let me
reenter with the old user ID so I contacted Maggie & we straightened things
out so "I'm Back"...

@Tn Traveler
You riding the scoot down when ya visit? Give me some warning and we might be able to be in the same photo.....
My schedule is full. So I stepped back to see how important the void my absence would create was. My schedule seems more flexible than my own self importance initially implied.

My travels into Ala. have been on business. I'm a part time freight
expediter. Money earned goes into the fuel bowl for riding.
As far south on the S/wing I've been is the Atlanta area-then
back up I 85 to the Cherokee Foothills Drive. Up to Brevard Nc.
and back to NE TN. I might get to the No. Ala rally in Sept. Depends
on medical outcome,
Be safe & enjoy each day.

Really enjoy seeing your colorful pictures.  It must be nice to have weather as your shots show.  My part of the world is about 2 months away from any signs of flowers.  Winter missed us and until late March the only snow was man made and only on the ski hills.  But now, even for tonight there is snow flurries in the forecast for parts as near as an hour away.  And 10 - 15 cms for parts of Cape Breton. The golfers are going crazy waiting for their chance to "get out" on the courses.  So, thanks for the pictures that give hope to better weather ahead.  We are to be about 2C in the morning ... brrrrrrrr. Too cold for riding.  However next week holds promise of 14C

Took a slight detour today to get a scooter tag. Took a few other photos, but 3 of them seemed to just burst with color.
Yes, I realize that this being the first day after a few of rain and the folk around me having a good day may have impaired my judgment or perception, but.....
Have you guys seen "Driving Miss Daisy"? Then you know why I posted this one...

This is one of those southern lip smacking, mouth watering BBQ places you hear about from people that visit the south:

I know, a hardware store isn't exactly an inspirational location, but it just stood out today for some reason.

An old crossing in a place called Linn Crossing. Not much left of the community, but it is popular among bikers for some reason. This little trestle has had it's photo taken many times:

A little town established 118 years ago and is nothing but a few houses and a cemetery now.

Another small town named Brookside. Same place as the church posted before. This town is kinda like Mayberry.

Yesterday running errands as usual. Went right by the Mexican restaurant which was the scooter tag in the adv forum.
So, had to get it. As I looked around, thought I heard some muffled sound, like someone stuck in a car trunk.
Oh well, didn't see anything and went on. Got home and looked at the pic....oops, left Ying in the cubby for the photo.
Man, oh, man, she was fit to be tied.......
On another note, I'm trying to understand why my friend calls these "Blue Flame restaurants".....

Well, poop!!!!

Yeah, some of you remember.....a real one room school. No, I didn't attend here. Mine was demolished and a big home built in it's place.
This one is about 20 minute ride from my community.

I thought this would be more colorful. It is the parking lot in front of the bread store:

The gazebo at the community center:

One of the many local memorials honoring our veterans:

Green house and portable barns:

It's was more colorful behind me:

In front of the KFC:
