I posted a companion pic of this one in the "Post a pic" thread. It caused my memory to reactivate....yeah, I know....tada!!!!
Anywho, I used to carry a camera and just take a shot or two as I road. Today, with my phone, I take a lot more and can upload/save them on the spot.
On the day I took this, it was with the camera. Was returning from visiting my son. As you can see, it was just a wonderful day for scooting.
My brother and I were taking the long way home just for the pleasure of it. He gets rather agitated when I stop for the random photo.
When I stopped for the photo-op, he just stood by his scoot. I took several photos from different angles. Just a few cars passed by.
There is a cross over just to the right of the photo. A young couple looked up at me when they passed, then the passenger looked to see what I was taking a pic of.
I could see her reach over and slap the drivers arm. They pulled into the cross over. They got out, waved, smiled and started taking photos.
3 of the next 5 cars did the same. As I returned from the slope where I took this photo, others started to slow. One does a U-turn up the road and comes back.
Spoke to the first couple that stopped and returned to my Swing to continue our trip. At this point, brother decided it was a good time to take a photo or two also.
Everyone that stopped would speak and smile to others. It turned into a really pleasant and memorable event, but I only took the bike/flower pics.
I often think about that day and how stopping to smell the roses (so to speak) turned into such a pleasant experience.
