Let's Ride!!!!!!

« on: March 08, 2018, 05:16:30 PM »

Friday will be an open day ride, or a day I can use to move in and out rides in the event of rain.

Pete and I will ride to The Space and Rocket Center on this day with a few other sites in between there and back.  Anyone is welcome to come with us.  We will be leaving at 8:30am from the Liberty Restaurant in town.

If Space and Rockets ain't your thing then there is plenty of awesome roads and things to see and do around.

On Saturday I plan to do the Little Canyon River Ride and through my hometown of Guntersville, including the State Park.

Absolutely count me in for the Huntsville Space and Rocket Center. Anywhere I can get an SR-71 and Saturn 5 into the same photo just has to be the place for me.

Makes a good photo op. I've done it regularly with other bikes as well as the welcome center on I-65 coming in from TN where they have the rocket.
Last time I was there (Nov '15), you could also get a good photo op with the old Pathfinder Shuttle.

The Meetup place for this ride will be the Liberty Restaurant in town.  I will add to a complete agenda as time nears.

That Huntsville space and rocket center was one of my very favorite places to have been a tourist.  NASA deserves a great deal of credit for sparking the imagination of the world.  It would be a really hard decision whether a day riding is better or a day touring the Huntsville space and rocket center.  It's just that there are no bad days riding, only good days and better days.

Well, nobody says we have to take a direct route over there. Lots of nice backroads that could make it interesting.

Yeah I would never go direct route to Huntsville :-)  I plan to go through Monte Sano either on way there or back.
