Let's Ride!!!!!!

« on: February 24, 2018, 07:58:50 PM »

Even though we do not have the bikes down here this year, we are still getting out and about.  I'm capturing some great wildlife out and about.  The grasshopper, cat and owl were in our yard.  The rest were at Homosassa Wildlife Center.  I highly recommend!

The cat is a neighborhood cat that likes us and we have adopted while here.  We sure will miss her when we go home.

Looking forward to our spring summer at home and coming back next fall/winter season with the bikes.

Very nice pix.  Iím rather envious of you, having all those great wildlife photo ops down there.  Even in the summer we donít have that up here.

What kind of camera are you using?  It seems to produce very nice images.

Thanks, Greg.   We are really enjoying our time down here.   However looking forward to going home and getting some riding in and seeing friends.

The pictures above are a mix of my iPhone and a Samsung point and shoot.  All have been processed by the Snapseed app in some fashion.

Thank you.

Cathy, I think we will leave April 3rd-ish and begin heading towards home.   We plan to stop in Nashville for a few days and spend time with Peteís sister, Karen.

Will miss here but also be happy to be home in StL.  Already have many riding trips planned.   Time will pass soon enough and we will be back here again for next fall/winter.

Next year we will trailer the bikes down.  Iíve scouted our lots of neat roads and rides!

As the other have said ... great pictures Maggie !  But that gator looks hungry --- just pretending to be asleep maybe ?

Are you near enough to Cape Canaveral to have seen the Falcon Heavy launch ... and the boosters come back and land like a pencil eraser first?  That would have been worth the entire trip !

I learned the gators donít eat much between Nov and March.   I wasnít going to test that theory ;)

We did see the Falcon Heavy from 96 miles away.    We wanted to headed to Cape C but they kept delaying the launch all day.

Nice pics of the critters Maggie.  We were wishing we were in FL. most of this winter.  Plan to make a loop in the Sunshine state in March ... to St.Augustine to Golf Hall of Fame .... to West Palm to visit old friends, then on to Tampa to visit others friends.  If y'all are in that loop maybe we could stop y'all place for a cup:-). Got church members wintering somewhere in FL. till last of March, but I can't remember where.

Thanks for sharing your video Maggie.  Even from 96 miles away, that was exciting.   Some friends from here are in Florida now, ---  escaping our winter.  He caught some pictures but it was a 3 hour drive (in heavy traffic) back to where they are staying.  Starman is a nice touch at the end of your video!!

In about 2 years (I think) a group is planning to be launching rockets from Canso, NS.  This will be an exciting time.
