I've got it, but can't get it out of my phone. I also have  Bruce Crossing. I stopped and crossed.

One of my occasional ride routes passes through Detour, Maryland.

If you have the opportunity to take a detour to Detour, or if the road is in a condition that makes a detour unnecessary, the Village Store in Detour is an excellent stop for lunch.

Hayters gonna hate?  Lovely community otherwise. They had a community center where the Hayters get to together ... school where the Hayters learn to, uh hmmmm hate ... and sadly a church where the Hayters meet for ... well ... idk.

Actually Hwy. 80 from Rosedale VA back down to near Abingdon VA.

GREAT road! Lots of twisties. Narrow mountain road ... almost two lanes:-)

Da Bat Cave near Hendersonville/Asheville NC ... was thru there a couple weeks ago.

We lived near there in the community of Fruitland '95-97 where I attended Bible School.   Every time we returned to the area after visiting folks in TN, the kids, teenagers at the time, would always say "back to the Bat Cave Robin", as we got off the exit on I-26.  Bat Cave, Chimmney Rock, Lake Lure all kinda run together.  Really pretty area.

Mann's Choice, PA.
A local politician was to name the place. Someone made a note on the map indicating it was his choice. The time expired and the map was printed with the note as the name.

I traveled through the place around 2003. Saw a donkey in a pen by the road. Stopped and talked with the owners, fed and petted the donkey. Exchanged email addresses with the owner. The donkey was old and expected to pass soon. 2 years later I got an email from the owner that simply stated "Our ass has passed".

Go 38 miles south of Jasper Arkansas on Hwy 7 and you'll come to Booger Hollow.

Saw this driving to NYC yesterday along the southern tier of NY.   We saw another sign I believe it was in PA or NJ on I80 for Buttsville.  We will try again on the way back home to get a photo.

Slow down when getting close to Bucksnort TN. It's just off of I 40 west of Nashville.

Have not been there on a bike in a number of years but this morning's paper had a piece about another Texas town with an unusual name,  "Uncertain".  Made the paper because of their Christmas parade.  The town borders Caddo Lake and they do the parade on boats in the lake.

Also yesterday. The town of Soddy-Daisy.  It's a bedroom community to Chattanooga,  in the NE section of Hamilton County.

Had a cup of coffee at the McD's there before heading up the switchbacks of Mountain Road-Mowbray Pike ... which is a section of the original Trail of Tears.

Soddy and Daisy used to be two towns.  Saw a business named Twin Cities ... something or other.  In 1969 they merged to become Soddy-Daisy.    Home of Poe's Tavern.  Google it if interested.   Also, a local mom and pop meat & three, hamburger joint called ... Whimpies.

Interesting/unusaul name though, I guess.

Someone should incorporate a little burg called "Leap of Faith" at the 3 mile marker.
