A dangerous risk...

How many traffic violations did this rider commit just to catch the motorist? Get the license plate number, car description, and description of the driver - then call the police. Perhaps if the incident involved something more than a minor traffic accident I'd think differently.

I was clipped on the rear of my scoot and chased the hit and run driver to the next red light. I told her to pull over so I could get her insurance information. But she made some dangerous moves and got away. I did get her tag and called the police to report the accident. Imagine my surprise when the cop threatened me for leaving the scene of an accident. They wouldn't even question her about it. Professionalism and integrity are not in our local's vocabulary. The reason I bring this up, is to say many possibilities could have happened. As dangerous as he had to drive to catch up with this guy, I don't think he was very smart in chasing him down. Especially since he had his tag.

If possible visit the local police station with a lawyer and the license plate information. The cop should have done something regarding the accident.
