Something happened to the left bar end on my HD200. I just looked down one day and it was gone. I really believe that the dealer broke it when they were installing a "warranty" battery but I can't prove that. It is just a bullet shaped piece of chromed plastic that weighs less than an ounce. I stopped by my local dealer a couple of weeks ago and had them order one for me. They said that since Carters Bros fire they were setting up an account with SYM in Canada. They called yesterday and said that it was there. I just went to pick it up this morning and got a shock. The bar end was $13.00 which is high for what it is but about what I expected. Shipping was $19.00. Add some sales tax and I got a $35.00 piece of plastic. I don't think that I will order one "cheap" item anymore. I'll combine it with an air filter or something to make the shipping more reasonable.

I checked out a CityCom at the dealer when I picked up my bar end. That is one sweet ride. I am "green with envy"!

Thanks for the CityCom "Thumbs Up". The wife LOVES it!. I "tweaked" it a bit (Dr. Pulley sliders, HiT clutch) along with a givi case. It is a really nice scooter, just doesn't work for me with the seating position (I need to stretch out my old legs).

I have a bunch of parts on order with my dealer. A variator is one of them which I will need soon.

Mike, Just curious about your variator purchase. I see you have 17,000 miles. Are you having issues with it? Is that the usefull life? This is my first scoot and I really don't know how long the "wearing" parts will last. How about belt life on the RV250? I went to my dealer to purchase a RV250 but he made me a "deal" on a new 2009 HD200 that I couldn't walk away from. The RV is next on my "bucket list" but I'll have to keep the HD also. It's great for local errands and you can do a u-turn in one parking space. Speed is great, had it at 75 indicated yesterday with some throttle left, but I just don't feel that it would be safe at extended interstate speeds.

This is my first scoot and I really don't know how long the "wearing" parts will last. How about belt life on the RV250? I went 15,000 miles on my belt before I replaced it and the belt still looked good. It might be undersized now though. I didn't check the width size. I'm keeping the old belt for a spare now. My variator shows a little wear on it and will probably need replacing in another 5,000 miles. I just replaced the spark plug after almost 18,000 miles. I'm ready to put in a 3rd air filter after cleaning the dirty one that's in there now, once. I replaced my front brake pads (right brake lever) after 16,000 miles. Left brake lever brakes will be replaced soon. I'm a big guy (6'3", 260LBS) so wearing and replacing may differ a bit if someone is smaller.

Jinx you can modify the seat on the Citycom to slide further back. On the last page of my review you can see the mod. I'm 6'4.5 and it works for me, but can't say how it will go with old legs yet. happy scooting Kiwiscoot
