Today there's a lot of chatter on a number of FB scooter groups regarding this same topic. There's a sense that some MC riders don't think of scooter riders as having the same riding experience -- dirt bike, off road, and gear shifting -- to garner their respect. Of course a lot of scoter rides are MC riders themselves, have a motorcycle license, and/or are equally as skilled.

It seems to comes down to appearances and stereotypes. Optics I think is the buzz word today. In my original post of this thread I raise the question if this lack of perceived respect pushes us to be better riders, better ambassadors (taking the high road) and more area of our surroundings?

I have seen some of those threads, but I have to confess - now that I have a Spyder, I am receiving numerous compliments and the only riders that don’t give an acknowledgement are those that won’t even give GW/Harley riders some respect.

So why don’t scooter manufacturers make commercials like this anymore? BTW - LOVE that yellow TMax.
