Hi Friends,

New member, first post from New Jersey...

I've been riding a 2012 Burgman 400 for a year now, so still a newbie.  A late-in-life new thing for me.  I had never been on a motorcycle or a scooter before my decision to purchase.  It's been a great, great year, I've learned a lot, and I'm not half-bad at it.  For me, it just puts a smile on my face every time I am on the road.

Besides riding, I've enjoyed tinkering with it, blinging it out, and making it my own.  I absolutely love this thing.

Thanks in advance for my dumb questions that are sure to come.  I have a lot to learn.  Been lurking for awhile, and this seems like a very nice group of folks.  Happy to be a (small) part of it...

Welcome. I am relatively new to motorized two-wheeled transportation myself .... 4 years, but only about 2,500 miles. I have found that it is indeed great fun!

Welcome Stuart,

Your story and mine are similar.  Late to motorized 2 wheeling and really enjoying the experience so far.  The first bike I sat on was a Downtown 300 in a dealer's showroom and the first one under power was a Ruckus in the course. Coming up to 4 years with a license to "operate any motorcycle".  So lots to learn for me as well.  Never stop learning.

Parked behind a car with New Jersey plates here yesterday.

Welcome to the forum Stuart.
I've been on two wheels for decades but only a few months on a Burgman. Great place to hang around for information.
I would think riding in that part of the country would be a little intimidating.
Ride safe there man.
