Had my local Burgman dealer install 17 gr sliders in my 2011  Burgman 400. I still run almost 8,000 rpm when riding 70 mph on my gps. My 2007 Burgman 400, with 18 gr sliders shows about 6400 rpm doing 70 mph on my gps.
Did the dealer do something wrong or is there that much difference with the lighter sliders.

Just throwing out a thought

Wonder if it's a difference in the clutches?  Didn't they alter the clutch in the B400?

Lighter slider do make a difference not sure that much (again my limited experience with my Bet & Win)

Suzuki changed the clutch from a 3 shoe, in the 2007, to a 5 shoe thereafter, IIRC.  It would not affect rpm's IMO.  It is likely??, that one of the sliders has flipped?  From what I read here, and over at BUSA, you must take extreme care installing sliders or one or more could flip.  It's not likely the that dealer used extreme care when installing the sliders.   YouTube sliders on the 400.  Also BUSA has threads on sliders/weight adnauseam.

My thought was that the dealer didn't install them correctly. I'll take it back there tomorrow and talk to the shop manager. I did change the clutch on my 2007 to a 2008 clutch when the sliders were put on, I changed the drive belt at the same time.
Thank both of you for your comments
