The problem with keeping this a secret is the big dumb smile on my face when I ride. Glad you are enjoying your new scoot.

Enjoying it immensely.    I was originally put off by the fuel capacity but after a little over 1K of riding, it has proven to be doable. I was usually doing about 200-220 before adding a bag of gas on the last bike. This so far has me about 165ish without getting into the last few liters of gas. I could stretch it if need be but for now, that has not been an issue. Wishing for cruise and a radio but I can work on those things in time.

I use a gocruise, sort of a grip mounted clamp for a little break throttle wise.  Easy and cheap. As far as radio/sound most of us use helmet Bluetooth devices which also work with GPS and phones. Scooters are great for traveling with lots of secure storage. Hope you have many enjoyable miles on your new ride.

Given how everyone these days has handheld/bluetooth devices I get why they don't offer a stereo but electronic cruise control should be standard

Agreed, the tunes thing isn't a big deal at all. The cruise is slightly bigger deal but with every item added to the scooters(or anything else for that matter) the complexity and $$ goes up along with the number of whiz bang things we have from the manufacturer. I wished it was there also but for now I can live without it. I did see an aftermarket cruise control but would not even consider it. The integration of the fuel management system and the CVT might be a weak link. Maybe not weak but I can see a lot of programming issues there. Maybe in the perfect scooter world I will have it in the future but until then I will just keep riding just like I knew what I was doing.

Not strictly a shot of a Scoot, but that’s Peggy’s dad, Les with his 650 Burgman and Peggy with her 650 Burgman.  That’s my GL1800 in the lead.  Just outran that huge thunderstorm in S. Dakota, not too far to the east of Sturgis.  Taken June, 2007, coming back from the first Maxi Scoot Rally in Minnesota.

The way Star looked the first time I saw her in person. The dealer had this pic and after seeing/negotiating on 5? others,
I made an offer, he accepted. She was still parked in the same spot on the showroom floor when I arrived.
Star just grinned. It was love at first sight. She just kept looking at me as I went to the office
to complete the paper work.

Is it just for me or have many of the earlier pictures disappeared?  Starting with Greg's, post #314 and earlier.

Great way to service front wheel with nitrogen.

Trust me, it works...)
