Let's Ride!!!!!!

« on: July 21, 2017, 12:48:59 PM »

Obviously this is just a "what it could be"   However be aware to pack rain gear and something warmer.   The two rides I will lead will be into MI and further north.  I would imagine along the lake and Porcupine MT could be chilly.

Perfect for riding...even a little rain can be nice-it keeps the bugs away!

Definitly not the temps we experienced on our Arkansas trip.   Maggie and Pete make sure those wind screens are back on.

Maybe we should have left the trip for the following week, instead of moving it up a week. I'm not looking forward to traveling in Labor Day traffic.  I'll quit whining now.

I thought would be really to cold for the following week.  I think our journey will be opposite of Labor Day traffic.  Who knows, though.  We are riding p the first days through the cornfields of Illinois so we should be good.

Monday is World's Largest Truck Stop Day!!!  Plan to get there wicked early head of the crowds.  New Glarius Brewing isn't open on Labor Day so we will hug the river and head towards the Dells to spend the night.  Definitely a short day but I have about 5 things marked to see.

Anymore when Pete and I ride we stop when we see something we want to see.  Not blazing the miles down, we like to stop and smell the roses along the way.

Tomahawk Harley Factory has their Fall color ride the following weekend. You wont want to be riding the roads around Tomahawk not to mention everything is booked even here in Wausau.

Just checked the 10 day forecast.  Labor Day weekend starts with highs in the low 70's.  Tuesday and Wednesday drops down to highs in the mid 50's. Let's hope it changes and goes up in temp.  And, the rain stays away.  Bring your cold weather gear.

5 more days and we're off.   scooter danceing

Saturday since I'm not leading the ride might be a good opportunity for me to film from the rear of the heated Spyder ;)

Looks like some of the rain is pulling out to just cloudy.   Don't forget warm things!
