Gluten free pizza with an assortment of meats and veg. Not a very exciting dish but tasty.

I made Pete corn beef and cabbage.  I swear off meat during lent so this was so very very tempting.  Pete said it was melt in your mouth good. I do get one day of dispensation during lent.  That will be saved for a ride to Bixby and Bridget's corn beef

I had cabbage of a sort last night.  Made Sauerkraut and sausage.  Made it with a difference though.  Used one of the Johnsonville Chorizo links instead of a normal brat.

That sounds good, Craig.  This winter I made sauerkraut and smoked sausage in the crock pot.  It turned out really well.

A crock pot would work.  I do mine by braising it in a covered skillet.

Thanks, it was awesome.  Ham and cheese sounds good.  I'm back on a diet yet again but I have lost 20 lbs.  Trying to find exciting low carb foods is easy however... they are not as good as ham and cheese.

At 100 degrees for our high today, I wasn't heating up the kitchen.

No disrespect to your meal but I doubt you'd find a better meal in St. Louis tonight. 5755 is serving gazpacho soup, lemon & pepper grilled chicken and roasted peppers. All done without heating the oven.

The Crow Reservation Trading Post is on highway 212 just off of US90.

Ah rekkoned that we'd get scalped if we stopped but nowadays it's more likely the wallet than the hair they want and hunger was gnawing at our vitals. When we hitched ole KIA to the rail out front and mozzied, kind'a slow and easy like, into the post we was a greeted by a friendly lookin' Crow.

Vittles to the left and trade goods to the right. We chose vittles and sat right down (they even let us choose our own seat) and commenced with the coffee and paperwork. I suspect there was plenty of good eats on offer but I chose biscuits and gravy and what a good choice it was too. Why, if Cookie  hadn't've loaded them down with the gravy I'd expect those horseshoe sized biscuits would've floated right up to the ceiling!

Today was Pie Run day and Robin and I made the ride to Clear Springs Cafe in Nacogdoches, TX.  We got there earl and it looked a little loanly in the parking lot but eventually over 30 folks showed up.

For lunch I started with a bowl of jalapeno crawfish chowder then followed that up with fish tacos with seasoned rice and beans.  Forgot to take a picture of the chowder (which was very good) but I did remember to get a picture of the tacos (also very good) before I ate them all

And of course since it was a pie run I had to have pie. In this case Key Lime

Turkey bacon "BLT" with avocado instead of mayo. Yum!! It's what for supper!

I'm so happy our tomatoes are lasting into fall!  They are so good this year.  I'm hoping to make some gazpacho soup tomorrow.
