Was 60+ Degrees today & I skipped on my Gym workout & instead grabbed my camera & went out & had some fun.
All dressed up in Pewter.

Like the spark plug one.

Snow plow avoidance isn't something we have to worry much about around here.

Nice mailbox pictures !
Maybe tomorrow I'll get a picture of what they call our mailbox now ... it is down at the end of the street.
You see, in Canada Post's lacking wisdom they are doing away with door to door delivery- replaced with a CMB. Cost saving measures they tell us !   But why did they pick my town as the first in the country upon which to force this change ?
Speaking of snow, a ski friend traveling in the Denver area sent me a picture today of snow making underway at Vail !

Mike, good luck.  All new developments here since maybe 1970ish have had either street (rural) or community (worse) delivery, depending on how corrupt the developer was.  My house is mid-'60's.  The box is one of those through-the-wall ones where (theoretically) you don't even have to go out the door for the mail.  I bought this house partially because of that.  I had street delivery in my prior home.  I never knew if I was going to find my mail in the box, strewn along the street, or missing completely.  Don't get me started on when some kids stole my check order from that box!!!  Or, the time I found a dead toad in there - and, hint, toads only are available in the heat of summer.

The PO has been trying to do away with door delivery here, too.  So far we've beat the zombies back everywhere, but they don't want to stay dead.

Saw something in NH I hadn't seen for a long while... a postman walking and delivering mail to the house.  Strange sight.

Thanks Robin,

I keep looking out the window for the letter carrier's arrival at the door for the once "regular" time and check the mail box ...just in case he came past for old time's sake.    The postal workers hold "information pickets" just to let the management know they don't like the change either.  The lady that delivered for our street (and also lives on our street) took a transfer for a route about 10 kms away - just to keep her job for a while longer.  I'm looking forward to the effects of the first snow plow on the community mail box.  It will be a twisted pile of scrap metal by the time the street is cleared.  Oh ... snow !  btw Environment Canada is predicting 20 - 30 cms of snow for northern New Brunswick on Sunday.

Good find Robin     and for $99.99 you could have your own  "Texas-style"  shotgun shell mailbox.   http://www.kotulas.com/deals/winchester-shot-shell-mailbox

Only $99.99?  Well shucks, I can handle that.  Now, if it were more expensive, say $100, I'd have to pass it by.

Good finds Robin.

Craig, I stumbled upon both of those in Bristol on the north-east side of town, trying to escape the traffic jam going east on the bluebonnet trail.

Everyone, the north-east side of town is about four blocks long

Heck the whole town isn't much more than that.  Were they on 660 or one of the very few side streets?  If on 660 I can't believe we haven't seen them before.
