Love the bleeding hearts. The fox looks inquisitive.

I watched him for a few minutes, then he took a drink and went on his way. He stopped and looked right at me and I took the shot.

My favorite vacation ever was Thailand.  Your images bring good memories.  Whew, that was a long time ago...

Ride safe.

Pete and I took my niece, Sofia out Pokemon hunting yesterday.  She's always been jealous of the types we collect so the pressure was on!  We (thankfully) got her three rare new to her Pokemon.

The weather was a beautiful mid 60 degree day.  Starting to see some hints we might have color soon!

Mike

We catch a lot of ribbing about playing Pokemon at our "age"  Pokemon is now 20 years old and my niece Paulena is 23.  She and Sofia are 13 years difference in age.  So it was fun to have played the original Pokemon with Paulena and now Sofia.

We enjoy it because we get up and move around.  In a way it is a lot like geo-caching.   We like it because we get up and move around.  This summer we've walked an extra 112km because of the game.

There are about 140 1st generation Pokemon to catch now.  Everyone has their favorite and those tend to be the rarer ones.  I have caught 105/140.   Gotta catch them all ;)

You would not believe the ridicule Pete and I get... of course you know me, I normally tell people to STFU.  It was the same when we geo-cached.

Ridicule ???? What ? ... for having fun in an activity with you nieces which brings happiness and healthy fresh air exercise ?  Maybe if Pokemon invaded the Isis camps (and the lives of other evil people) and gave them something to do that didn't bring suffering to others, the world might be a better place ?  Guess I can dream .....

Glad you enjoy the "hunt" Maggie.  I looked into the Geo-caching a while ago and was amazed to find a cache in a tree near the pool where I swim all summer.  It was kind of neat ...in a harmless but fun and strange way.

And..... age is but a number ....

There have been many things "wrong" about Pokemon and of course the squeaky wheel gets the grease (media)  Overall the experience for us has been positive.  We see families out, we talk to people etc...

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch and a Dragonite popped up on my screen.  I went running out the door and down the street to catch him.  As I'm running to catch him I'm joined by a 13 year old neighbor kid running to catch him.  We were both laughing our asses off.

Of course running is a subjective word.   After we both caught him we engaged in a 15 minute philosophical pokemon discussion.

Boy, do I feel old! What the hell is a pokemon?

Pokemon is a cartoon series that began at least 20 years ago.  It features "kids" in consort with these little creatures that fit into a pocket, but have incredible powers and engage in fighting contests with other pokemon characters.  It's the classic struggle between good and evil.  Pokemon is a contraction for pocket monster.  They are sweet little critter, but morph into powerful, sometimes vicious monsters when ready to fight another pokemon.  Often the "fights" feature the "good" pokemon owners pitted against an "evil" pokemon master.

Robin and I spoke this weekend. She's doing well still riding a bit when she and Craig go out. She's really into her photography.

If you went to Huzzah rally you will recognize this photo.

If you have time look at her solar eclipse photos!
