Great trip and pictures.  I've been wanting to get to that part of the country on a bike for years and can't quite seem to make it.  I just wrote a note in the gear section about the merits of heated grips or gloves and a balaclava.  In those temps the extra warmth provided by these would have served you well.  Again great pictures and I'm sure it was a great trip thanks for doumenting it!
