Had Chip (or maybe it was Dale) kept to his early line, I doubt you'd have had much choice.

Knowing the road would certainly have helped with your groove (holes, patches, tar snakes, shadows and whatnot) but "damp" could still be an issue that makes discretion the better part of valor.  I'd rather ride a bit slower and come back to ride again.  It was an awesome stretch.  I know that videos can get "boring" after a while so as a rule I'll turn it off when out of twisties.  I recall reaching for the shutter button several times during the run that started at 2:26 but then ... bam ... here comes another turn.

Last two for me.

I believe this to be an eagle, the only one I spotted while there.  He is in the center of the picture right at the ridge line.  Not enough detail to say for sure, but I watched him come down next to the river.

I found this shot from the Gold Star Mothers Bridge that captures the top of Hyner view (just barely).  I was trying to shoot the sign, flagpole and bridge (so much for composition ) but got this instead.

I got some great pictures of you Maggie but unfortunately for me missed opportunity with you. Yet indelibly etched in memory photos only serve as proof to others that I am acquainted with such a lovely young lady. Another reason to ensure attending the next event.

As many have said, it was great to meet so many folks at the Rally.  Though I think I've got most names down now, that might not be the case in a year or two.  So I "borrowed" one of the posted group photos (Phil's I think) and pasted in some names for future reference.  Please let me know if I've gotten any wrong.

Thank you, that is great! When confirmed correct I'll add names to the full resolution original and email to anyone interested in making a print suitable for framing, placing in a shoe box or such. The same for any of my pictures.

Certainly appears to be an eagle, good capture.

Great pic. Alison (Ratchet) should only have one "l" in her name label although the two "l" version is the more common spelling.

Finally got the rest of my video hooked together in some semblence of order.

Watching these is nothing like riding but they're a nice diversion on a grey, wet (or snowy) day.  Frankly it's only been two weeks but watching these while putting them together really reminded me of just how awesome those roads were.

http://youtu.be/l9pZy5utG3s

It's all good but there's a really nice run at about 8:40 (and a little fun just past 5:00).

Nice, Steve!  Man those roads were nice.  I liked after we turned away from 144 to 44.  144 was nice but roads needed paving.
