Growing Older - But not Up

« on: August 19, 2012, 08:28:55 PM »

On an RV forum, the following route has been recommended from Southern Ontario to Milton -- supposed to be good, bit of freeway/toll and smooth riding.

Cross at Queenston-Lewiston then take I-90 to Batavia. It's only about 35 minutes on I-90 and it's not expensive compared to the 407.

Once you go through the toll booth after exiting at Batavia it's a left turn on Oak St. then it's about a mile to Main St. (SR 63). Turn left on Main and a little way down veer to the right to stay on 63.

Follow 63 to 36, turn right on 36. Follow 36 through Leicester, it's a left then quick right in Leicester, until you get to Mt. Morris.

In the center of Mt. Morris turn left, watch for the I-390 signs. It's only a short way to I-390, take I-390/I-86 to Corning. At Corning take SR-15 to Williamsport.

You can stay on 15 all the way down from Williamsport but you can also pick up I-180 at Williamsport which will take you to Milton.  Recent posts say there is considerable construction of 15 and a long grade -- maybe best to pick up I-180.

We hope to be the States on Tuesday and take time to tour the Corning Plant -- maybe pick up some new dishes and head for the campground sometime Wednesday.

Sounds like a good contingent coming from Ontario -- don't tell anyone else that we like to party.

Scoots don't give a shift!!!!
