A few years ago I posted that I was done with Clearview because of the cracking I experienced in a couple of their XXL's with vent & because of their unsatisfactory customer service both from their dealer & themselves & went & bought a Givi.
While the Givi was a fine product, I was spoiled with the protection of the XXL. The givi couldn't come close to it & I was very disapointed to the point that I didn't ride the burgman very much because of the wind buffeting around my head. Being an old GoldWing rider & living in a cooler climate area I like maximum protection

So when a friend bought a 650 Burgman with a Clearview XXL without a vent. He didn't like it because he lived in a hotter climate. We agreed to trade. I figured I would try one with out the vent.........

Well here it is 13 months & about 4.000 miles later & it cracked...........again.    Its for sure the 3rd one (maybe 4th ) Maybe these Clearviews XXL's are a bit much for this bike. All my years riding motorcycles/scooters I've NEVER seen a product like this. Never had windshields crack.
So I guess I'll again drill a hole in it & see how long it lasts before another crack appears.

Next I think I'll look @ a Cee Bailey. The one I have on my Helix is well made & is holding up well.

The XXL is just to tall a windshield.  It flexes to much.  I don't think Clearview even offers the XXL for the Executive anymore because of the cracking problems.  I would not order anything bigger than an XL.  Actually I wouldn't order anything bigger than a Large because that is as tall as I can see over comfortably. My Clearview large is now 6 years old.

How tall is that screen Lou?  Can you see over it or do you look through it?
