This Harley doesn't want a little scooter passing him. This is one of the Cannonball Scooters... had it been me I would have tucked back in and followed this POS and kicked his ass.

...but it is a double yellow. Agree Dan, but I don't see it as his responsibility to enforce the law. He was being a jerk.

This will probably stir up a big discussion:
In Ontario it is not illegal to pass on a solid yellow line - single or double. But if the line is white then it becomes a NO NO.
The Ontario Traffic Manual sets the guidelines for when a single or double yellow line are to be used. Basically a double yellow is used when it is likely to be unsafe to pass, such as going around a blind curve. Single yellow lines are where it also may be unsafe, such as approaching an intersection or on parts of a 2-lane road, etc. They're guidelines only, basically telling you that it might be unsafe to pass in that area.

Same here... I am not discounting the fact this guy is passing illegally.
But to deliberately try to run someone off the road is uncalled for and deserves an ass kicking.

Not just that, but the cool thing for the Hardley to do would be to stay in the right side of the lane so the other bike could easily get around. I don't discount the double yellow line or the fact that there was a car in front of both bikes, but one never try to run someone off, two why not let everyone ride their own ride?
I've been there and seen that or near to that happen to me passing Hardleys. Just a couple of weeks ago, except it was a flock of Hardleys, not just one.

They were wearing pirate costumes....one should expect that they may attempt some sort of underhanded skullduggery.
What sort of scooter was being ridden?, it zipped right along.

Whoa!! The Harley driver was a work of art. He knew exactly what he was doing when he tried to cut off the scooter.
I would have pulled out into one of the scenic viewpoints he passed and let the POS keep on riding. Life's too short to tangle with idiots like that.

+++1 At least in any good dream I have. Once when I was about 15 I ended up having to fight some guy and we had thrown some puches and scored some damage to each other, then he looked at me and said when I dreamed about it I punched you out and you fell right down.

Pretty slick move by the obivously more skilled scooter rider! You have to understand what was going on in this guys (cannnballers') head. If they were where I think they were it was probably day 5-6, living on fast food, caffene and exhaust fumes! His first attempt to pass failed, but he planned a second and executed it with precision and confidence! Once he launched, he knew he was commited (for better or worse) and had he not been in a ...ahem... race...would have exercised better judgement and backed off. I have met a bunch of the 'ballers' and they are just like you and me, fun loving, adventurous and really, really love to ride . Last year when I rode the last leg with them into Portland, we rode hard and fast and took some chances. Each time we get on our bikes we assume some risk, and hope our skills get us to our destination safely. That wasn't a man on that Harley, that was a mouse.

I wouldn't expect anything different from a Harley rider as they seem to think they are a cut above the rest in the biking world, but we all know theay are just arses.

I just saw who posted the video over on MV. He was riding a 300 and it was probably modified somewhat. Also the CB'er is a very experienced rider and would not have done the double yellow pass unless it was clear. Whether it was a legal move or not, I doubt that Harley rider will be bringing that up to the police unless he wants to explain his actions as well.

Anything I write here is going to be wrong. Suffice it to say I'm with Maggie.
But for one thing, I ride with and have many Harley friends. None of them is such a dumb- ass. True, their bikes handle like crap. But they are gentlemen (or ladies) and doing something that asinine is just out of the question.
That poseur needs an attitude adjustment.
