I've felt squirrelly in the rain lots of times, but I agree with Buffalo that you do have most of your traction. I think that if you keep your speed cautious and feelings in check things work out fine. Snow is a different story. I just won't ride in it period. I  once spent two days holed up in a hotel in Colorado waiting for the roads to be cleared of snow. My mind was made up that if I had to I'd hire a truck to take me past the snow.
