Most folks underestimate how much traction they have on wet roads.  Unless you hit a spot where oil is mixed with the water or go over metal or wide paint strips or tar strips you have about 90% of the traction that you do on a dry road.  You don't need to fear riding a bike on wet roads.  Dial it back a little and be even more vigilant to watch for those things that can make the road slick when combined with water and you will be just fine.
