Me too Maggie.
We are past the Dutchman's breaches and bloodroot but there are lots of wildflowers yet to come in SE Ontario.
Those clumps positively glowed as they caught the late afternoon sun Dan.
I didn't do them justice.

Things greened up while you were gone!!

They sure did.  I artfully left out the weeds that are all over our lawn at the front and side of the house.

If it wasn;t for weeds I wouldn't have any green at all!!!!

I love the longer natural grass, hard to have that in "the city".

In my yard, my son called it the gnome home, and he said if we removed it the gnome would be mad!

We had a very early spring, with clover blooming
on Ground Hog Day!  That's early even for way
down here in LA (Heart of Dixie).  Here are some
other happy plants

Cactus is spreading all over the pasture

Not a flower but flowering fungus on the Chocktawhatchee R.

These Tiger Lillies are stumped

I have no idea what this is.  Remarkable fungus...

These Hubuscus exploded a few days ago by our carport

The Japonicas litter the ground when these delightful smelling petals fall

These flowers just bloomed on our backyard shrub.  I have no idea what they are, this is our first spring at this house so there have been many surprises growing out of the ground, most of them pleasant.

We've got some rain here lately on the east coast.  Great shots (I think) my daughter got!

Love anything orange!

Finally the sun is coming out.

That is a Rhododendron.  I have one the same color in my front yard.  Beautiful flowers!  It is a perennial so it should come back so pretty each year.

Very nice.  Flower blossoms always look far better with drops of water on them.  I never seem to remember my water spritzer.

Incidentally, where approximately on the east coast?  A bit north I'm guessing.

Great photos everyone and Zippy, love the avatar.

I had two Iris blooms, the other was red, missed documenting. These plants originated at my grandmother's house and have survived several moves over the past 15 years. They deserve a better care giver but I will relocate them to a better area and better soil this year.

I love your Iris picture and story, Phil.  I have bunch of them in my front yard.  Some of them came from my mom's house, which were originally transplanted from her mom's house (my granny) in Townsend, TN.

and...I think the decal makes my scooter look girly cool! :D

I've been a fan of these for a long time.  The decals are good quality and have a real nice silver outline that makes them pop.  You can sometimes get them at Walmart in the automotive section too.
