Hello peeps in Maxi Scoots world.
I am the proud owner of a Kymco 500Ri since September of 2010. I bought it as a leftover model from an ebay seller. I've been posting on the Kymco Forum for a bit now, but stumbled on this great looking site by accident. It's nice to read everyone's rides no matter the make. I am a small electrical contractor and often times will use the scoot to go look at jobs. Great to be here and looking forward to it all.

Hello Simon and to our group.

Good looking scoot -- don't think mine would look as good in the living room.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome!
When I first bought the bike, I was curious to see how it would look in photos indoors. My wife is an awesome woman and never even flinched at the idea when I mentioned it. She actually laughed as I rolled the thing inside through the front door!
John, the TR6 is my other baby. It is the culmination of a 6 year everything replaced restoration. We recently drove the TR6 from AZ to NY with a car show stop in Chicago where we won three awards including best of show.

Hi Simon and welcome to the group.  If you have a hi-res version of the photo of your scoot in the living room I would love it for our maxi-scoot calendar next year.

Welcome!    I'm seriously looking the 500 ABS and am interested in your experiences, especially since it looks like it's a member of the family, not just transportation!!

To the forum. The second thing I  saw was the TR6. I use to drool all over that car as a E1 in USAF. I think I still do.

Dan, I will take some better high res photos soon

Regarding the TR6, here are a couple of teasers!

Arthur, I will say this about the x500....It is one stable and well balanced ride. Yes, it weighs a ton, but really feels light when rolling even at slow speeds. It is awesome on the highways and will sing happily at 75mph all day long. I've had mine up to 86 (GPS) with room to do 90 at redline. I enjoy a heavier bike on the freeway for the stability. I consistently get about 51mpg, but then again, I do enjoy the fast breakaway from traffic. It is not the most refined bike in the Maxi lineup, but for the value and reliability, it can't be beat. The fit and finish is superb. I would prefer a less than stiff ride, but with 2 up riding is just right. I weigh 190 at 5'8 with a 30" inseam and can't truly flat foot it unless I have a passenger. The seat gets a bit uncomfortable after about an hour, but I will have mine redone for comfort one of these days.

Thanks!  No rush though, we just wrapped up the calendar for 2012 last month.  Plan on doing one for next year so that would be great if you would like to participate.  I generally need the photos starting the end of August.
