No cows in my path today; but a whole lot of wind.     I took a ride to my favorite ski hill and see why there is no skiing ... the snow has melted for another year.  A guy came up to me and asked if I wanted to sell the Silverwing.  I was slow off the mark and was not thinking of a price but rather how would I get home ??    Now I wish I had asked him to make an offer.    There is a nice CanAm Spyder at the local dealer for $35,000.

All white meat ... and quite large  ... er uh white meat up high & front.
I guess this rural store/market sells fried chicken?  IDK, I didn't go in inside.  Quite a landmark though.

Three things from today's ride:

Our RFTS ride with local CMA.

Three Harley trikes, a VW trike with a Harley front end, a couple of two wheel drive Harley's ... one Yammie Tour  Deluxe 1300 and as per usual one scooter:-)  Me and my Burgie :-). Nice 110 miler and lunch.

And a man and his dog.  Not riding with us, already at the lunch stop, but I thought it was a heck of a trailer to haul his pooch around.

......

And then there was this .... in the men's room at the Rose Garden Restaurant, I-40 and Hwy. 56 ...

LOL.  You gotta love the euphemism.... "Family planning":-).   The staff at the restaurant were scurrying around getting ready for prom night business ..... I hope they got THAT sufficiently stocked.‍‍‍‍‍

I found 2 interesting things on a recent trip to Pymatuning State Park in PA...

1st, was the road closed sign, not different until you see the name of the road...lol

2nd, I had to stop in front of this bar/restaurant, which had a awesome name!

Thanks I am feeling much better.   Yes, it is an HJC and I like it.  I have a hard time finding the right fit and HJC seems to work well.

My friend, Dave, and I went for a ride to Lunnenburg the other day and to start the day we met at a place called The Bike & Bean in Tantallon, N.S..  They are located next to a former rail line which is now converted to bicycle trail.  The Silverwings were parked next a sign which I didn't read until looking at the picture below after back home.  Can't help to wonder how many rental inquiries they had while we were inside for coffee.

I had better check the backgrounds more carefully.

A few weeks ago, on a foggy Sunday morning, the Bluenose II came to Bedford for the day.  For $59, if you had booked space when space was available, you could have gone for a 2 hour "sail" around Bedford Basin ... the assembly location for war time naval convoys for the war effort overseas. The Bluenose, depicted on the back of the Canadian dime, has been in the news a lot of late.  It was rebuilt in Lunnenburg and despite using only the masts and some rigging from this ship's predecessor, the Bluenose II, the new ship is named Bluenose II as well, rather than Bluenose III.  The budget at the start of the rebuild was approximately $13.5 million. At completion the price tag grew to $25 million. This is a long story in itself; and I doubt it is finished.

But there she was at the wharf in Bedford ....a photo op for the taking.  So I "chased" her for the morning, hoping the fog would give way to a sunny day.

She left the wharf for some space to hoist some sails.  Must have been just for show as there was no wind and those on board were in for a motor boat ride on this $25M boat.

It had to be a cold day on the water, even without wind.

So after a lap around Bedford Basin it was time to head back.

When all secured she was open to the public to tour the decks.

On the way back for "the open decks" she passed DeWolfe Park and the best photo op.

A few shots from on board.
