Finally, the 2011 400's are being advertised...

http://www.suzukicycles.com/Product%20Lines/Cycles/Products/Burgman%20400/2011/AN400A.aspx?category=scooters

Looks like non-ABS isn't available and aside from that, looks like the 2007-09 models. So, at least there will be parts availability across those models for quite some time.

Burgman 400 ABS
MSRP $7,499
Key Features

New for 2011: The Burgman 400 is now equipped with Antilock Brake System (ABS*), which monitors wheel speed, and matches stopping power to available traction.

The Burgman 400 matches its sporty looks and aggressively styled bodywork with all the convenience features of a scooter.
Engine Features

The Burgman comes with a 400cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, fuel-injected engine that was designed to produce broad, useable power with quiet operation and low maintenance.

An Idle Speed Control (ISC) system ensures optimal idling under various conditions.

A convenient electric starting system with maintenance-free battery helps provide quick and easy starts.
Key Features

A belt-drive, CVT transmission is fully automatic and easy-to-use.
Chassis Features

A high-tensile steel-tube frame was designed with strength and rigidity in mind.

Cut-away footboards allow stop-start legwork without uncomfortable stretching.

The Burgman 400 is equipped with a 13.5-liter fuel tank, so it can be enjoyed over long distances between fuel stops.

A stepped dual seat provides comfort and confidence. The rider’s backrest is adjustable in five 10mm increments at the press of a lever.

The Burgman comes with telescopic 41mm inner-tube front forks with a generous 110mm of wheel travel. A motorcycle-style link-type monoshock rear suspension offers adjustable preload. The overall benefits are motorcycle levels of handling and exceptional maneuverability.

14-inch front wheel carries 260mm hydraulic dual disc brake, while the rear wheel has a 210mm hydraulic disc brake for reliable control.

The Burgman 400 is equipped with a convenient parking brake with easy-to-use single lever operation.
Utility/Convenience Features

The Burgman 400 offers abundant luggage space; huge 62-liter storage bay, large enough for two normal size full-face helmets or A3-size document case, and a smaller compartment for small personal items. Convenient switchable underseat lights illuminate the entire underseat area.

Front bodywork contains three lidded storage compartments; a large 10-liter compartment and two smaller compartments above it. A convenient DC power outlet is on board for charging electric devices while on the move.

The comprehensive and easy-to-read instrument binnacle incorporates a speedometer, a tachometer, an odometer, twin tripmeters, a clock, and indicators for the ambient temperature, average fuel consumption, fuel level, and coolant temperature.

A security gate allows a chain lock to be passed through the bodywork around the frame.
*ABS is a supplemental device for brake operation, not a device for shortening stopping distance. Always remember to reduce speed sufficiently before approaching curves and corners.

They're right proud of that thing. I'll be curious how many go out the door at that price. I doubt there will be a long waiting list unless they only import a hundred.

The colors are marketed to the widest base of acceptance... such a shame most people like those dull colors.  At least white is nice and fresh and visible.  But there is something funky about that white photo of the B400, looks like it was photoshopped the coloring/shading is really off.

It's called "Marketing".  Now if Honda can come out with something in the 400cc range, the Burg would have some competition.

Still the same great scoot but Suzuki has to get more price competitive. That is a lot of coin , they have jacked up the prices across the board for the all scoots and bikes. I just saw a 2010 for $7800 new and it was an Exec.

Maybe, realizing that in this economy most motorbikes are going out the door at big discounts, Suzuki is jacking the MSRP so when they sell at $1000.00 discount, it's last years MSRP.

Although there is more than one factor at work, the US Dollar to Japanese Yen exchange rate probably isn't helping, either. The Dollar is near historic lows against the Yen, so the prices we see at US showrooms rise.

Huh?

Further review the photo isn't as horrible as I first thought.  Still not as well done as the silver version.

Dan, I see your point about the white picture. The transition from white body panels to black seats, dash and floorboards strikes me as excessive contrast. Maybe it has to do with the side-on view. For whatever reason, the front quarter view looks better in the same color. This might be simply a case of a picture not doing justice to its subject. However, I agree that the silver appears better regardless of the view angle.

The white wasn't nice as far as I was concerned. Just before I bought my '08 I put money down on a white '09. As I left the dealership I felt that something wasn't right and turned my car around and went back. I asked the salesman if he would do me a favor and push the bike out the door and into the sun light where I could take another look at it. Out in the sunshine the white was that iradescent pearl white and not summit white. It reminded me of a '91 Cadillac Coupe Deville. I passed on it and bought the red one. To each his own.

One good thing about the white & black, choose a white helmet, dark blue jacket, pants with a stripe down the outside and a couple of strategically placed patches, people will move out of your way.

Wow!  Price just keeps going up and up.  Got my '08 in '09 as a leftover for $5,699 OTD and other than ABS it seems like the same machine.  At least this should help older models hold their value when it comes time to trade up.
