I know this is not a scooter, but it has similar characteristics. What do you think about this new E Bike?

I think it's pretty useless.  I like the removeable battery but that's about it.  The seat looks really uncomfortable.  It has a place for your cell phone but not for anything else.  So what is it good for?  It's worthless for long rides and since it doesn't have any carrying capacity it would be worthless for me as a commuter.

It lists up to an 80 mile range but that's probably at really low speeds.  To me this is just a styling exercise.  It would require some major changes to just make it marginally usefull.

You asked what I thought

I agree with Klaviator. Interesting toy but not much else.

The saddle alone kills it for me. Narrow in the rear, wide in the front with maybe an inch between me and the metal frame. Umm no.

Why don't they take that big hole and put a storage container there?
You could at least fit a laptop in there.

The design looks different, the price is good and I'll give the engineering the benefit of the doubt.
But the lack of storage potential will see off the commuters and the company says its not targeting enthusiasts like us that are daft enough to buy anything with two wheels if it will be a giggle to ride.
I think its another misguided attempt to sell bikes to non bikers.
