Let's Ride!!!!!!

« on: October 16, 2020, 01:31:36 AM »

14 years ago, I met a boy riding a scooter.  He was this cute blue eyed boy with a sheepish smile.  We dated a few weeks and he literally broke up with me over voicemail.  When I called him back he said I hope we can still be friends and ride together.  I said sure.  I mean I was 43 years old... a "boyfriend" wasn't on my radar.  We rode together all that winter.  Normally just Pete and I as we were winter riders and had a mild winter.  He went to FL for two weeks in Feb, for some reason he felt the need to call me every night.  We'd talk on the phone for hours. We he came back we resumed our relationship and 18 months later we moved in together.

We often talked about marriage but we didn't for many legal and financial reasons.

Well last week Pete decided this no longer mattered or shouldn't and he said he really wanted to be married.  I agreed and we will be married next June.  Bill and Vicki will stand up for us.

So all because a scooter, I'm marrying the love of my life and our two very good friends we met because of a scooter will stand up for us.  Everything is in the planning stage but we are leaning towards something out west in Arizona at the moment.

If you know me, you know I'm a planner.  Actually in this case Pete is so excited he is constantly planning.  LOL he's already picked out my dress.

Congratulations Maggie and Pete!! Maybe you two should write a book about your story, sell millions of copies and retire comfortably.

Best news of 2020 Maggie!  Something that brings happiness to us all, for your good fortune.  Congratulations to you and Pete.  Or maybe ...best wishes to the Bride and congratulations to the Groom.
