Remember Eric, AKA The Virginian? He's created a You Tube channel that some of us might find interesting. He hopes to show some motorcycle, and soon scooter, maintenance, tips, and hopefully share some of his travels and history lessons. You can view the first one here:

Eric will have a new video series soon for "Lo Mein" , his China knock off small bike.   In other news, it was good to see Ozark post again on this board!

Thank you so much Bruce for thinking of me. I wasn't really comfortable posting it as my work is rough as a cobb.

With your vast experience, can you give me help on my Burgman  650. My emergency flashers quite working but the turn signals are fine.

Without having a service manual or the specific year of your Burger, my best guess is the turn signal and flashers work on a separate relay flasher.

1. Check all the fuses and see if any have blown
2. Check all the bulbs and see they're good to go
3. Replace the flasher relay

The hazard and turn signal lights found on the vast majority of road going vehicles are controlled by a flasher, which is commonly referred to as a relay. The flasher is an electrical component that serves as the switch that allows the lights to flash on and off. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and designs, which will vary according to the specific needs of the vehicle.

I hope my thoughts help.

The turn signals and flashers use a single fuse.  Do you know where the relay is located on a 2011-650? I've replaced a number of them on the older, rear engine VWs

John-someone over at  the Burgmanusa site will have a quick answer for you. I had the shop manual for the 650, but let it go with the bike when I sold it. If I find the PDF for it, I'll send it to you.
EDIT: see LeDudes Burgman site. All the wiring diagrams and more are there

I've used his site to help service my 400 cc but never looked for the wiring diagram for the 650. Thanks for the help

John, I had an issue with mine and it ended up being a simple switching out of the button itself.  The connections became "old"  maybe remove and clean and check it out?

While visiting Krakens Garage, I got a chance to ride The Virginian's China bike, known as Lo Mein. It's similar to a Grom but has a 5speed, 135cc engine, and cool looks. What a gas! Check out the bike on his You Tube channel It's a lot of fun for not much money.
